About us

Diagnostics and treatment at the Filipović clinic are led by named individuals — veterinarians, trainees and students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, together with an associate from the university chair of clinical pathology.

Verified

The clinic’s associate since its founding has been a full professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, in the fields of haematology and clinical pathology of companion animals.

Dimitrije Filipović dr vet. med.

Founder and owner of the clinic. Licensed veterinarian.

Over 20 years in veterinary medicine of dogs and cats, with a particular focus on internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Part of the team that revived the Serbian Small Animal Practice Veterinary Association – SASAP in 2004. Secretary and board member of SASAP from 2004 to 2014.

Milica R. Ilić dr vet. med.

Licensed veterinarian.

Part of the clinic team since 2019. Areas of interest: oncology and soft tissue surgery. During her studies, she conducted research at the chair of pathological physiology, graduating with a thesis on oncogenesis mechanisms in oncogenic viruses.

Dr sci. vet. med. Milica Kovačević Filipović, redovni profesor na Fakultetu veterinarske medicine, Univerziteta u Beogradu

Clinic associate since its founding.

Earned her master’s and doctorate in haematopoietic stem cell physiology. In the last five years, she has published several scientific papers in top international journals on vector-borne diseases in dogs. Areas of expertise — haematology and clinical pathology of companion animals.

Sandra Sablić

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, trainee.

As a student, she volunteered at the haematology and biochemistry laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where she fell in love with this area of veterinary diagnostics. She plans to pursue internal medicine in the future.

Volunteer at the clinic since 2020. Her area of interest is anaesthesia of dogs and cats. She chose this profession because of its dynamic nature and diverse daily routine.

Jovana Nićiforović

Fifth-year student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade.

Since her third year of studies, she has been advancing her knowledge and skills through practice at the Filipović clinic. For the last five years, she has worked as a rhythmic gymnastics coach and judge for girls. She is currently upgrading her coaching qualification through studies at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education.
